A player that everyone has been missing at Chelsea has finally been spotted training back out on the grass in what is a big boost.
The Blues have been suffering with a lot of injuries lately and it’s been quite a struggle with fatigue after the Club World Cup and no real break this summer for the players as a result.
They have also had to play without some of their key players so far this season, one of which is Cole Palmer. His injury has not been good and he’s even missed the last few England camps which is not good ahead of a World Cup this summer.
We have no update on Palmer just yet, but we do have a positive update on another former Manchester City academy player who is now at Chelsea, Liam Delap!
There was positive news on this one from my own exclusive news recently, and we heard he was going to be back sooner than they first said.
As you can see above, striker Liam Delap was spotted back training on the grass for Chelsea yesterday and there is some hope that he will be back very soon now.
I believe Enzo Maresca even mentioned he could be back in the squad for tomorrow night’s League Cup game against Wolves but personally, I can’t see him being back just yet.
It looks like he is only training on the grass and not in group training as of yet, at least judging by this image. So that would suggest he still has a tiny bit more recovery to do. But that is just me speculating, maybe he will be back for tomorrow night. Let’s see.
