Lazio hosted Atalanta in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final, but failed to maintain the lead on two occasions.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru broke the deadlock early in the second period, while La Dea swiftly responded through Mario Pasalic. In the final minutes of normal time, Boulaye Dia thought he had scored the winner, but the visitors still found time to score the equalizer thanks to Yunus Musah.
Here are our player ratings for Lazio, who settled for a 2-2 draw against Atalanta after an exciting second half at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ivan Proveded – 5.5
The Lazio goalkeeper could do little about the second Atalanta goal, but could have avoided the first had he managed to parry the ball away from danger while saving Lazar Samardzic’s shot.
Adam Marusic – 5.5
The Montenegrin added little to nothing in the attacking phase, and was one of the culprits on the second Atalanta goal.
Mario Gila – 6.5
A convincing display from the Spaniard on his return to the lineup. Did well to limit Nikola Krstovic’s threat, and was able to drive forward with the ball.
Alessio Romagnoli – 6
The experienced goalkeeper was beaten in the air by Krstovic early on, before being saved by the offside call. Nevertheless, he managed to regain his composure afterwards.
Nuno Tavares – 6
The Portuguese full-back wasn’t able to contain Davide Zappacosta’s threat, but at least he was able to offer some support to the attack. Won back possession and provided the cross on Dia’s goal.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru – 7.5
This was easily the Nigerian’s best display thus far this season. Played a give-and-go with Maldini before scoring with a perfect chip. He also managed to outmuscle Pasalic on some occasions, limiting the Croatian’s danger.
Danilo Cataldi – 5.5
The Lazio youth product was too slow to react to Samardzic’s shot, which culminated in Atalanta’s first goal.
Kenneth Taylor – 6.5
The Dutchman was happy to do the dirty work in the middle of the park. He came close to scoring in the second half, but was denied by Marco Carnesecchi.
Gustav Isaksen – 6
The Dane tried to force his way into Atalanta’s box with his solitary runs. Although he wasn’t always successful, he gave the visitors a few scares.
Daniel Maldini – 6
The Atalanta loanee is keen to make the most out of his experiment as a striker. While he’s still struggling to impose himself in the box, he produced a sublime assist for Dele-Bashiru’s opener.
Mattia Zaccagni – 6
The Lazio captain was on the receiving end of a beatdown, as the Atalanta players took turns in fouling him. Set up a promising chance for Maldini in the first half with a lovely square ball.

Matteo Cancellieri – 5
The winger was once again a downgrade on Isaksen, failing to create anything down the right flank.
Boulaye Dia – 7
The Senegalese striker made the most out of his cameo. He scored his first goal since August, showing great anticipation as he pounced on a mistake from Pasalic.
Tijjani Noslin – 6
A lively display from the Dutch attacker, who played a part in the buildup for the second Lazio goal.
Reda Belahyane – N/A
