Lazio dropped two points on the road after producing a disappointing showing against Lecce at the Via del Mare.

The Biancocelesti have been the victims of injustice on several occasions this season, but they can’t have any complaints this time, as their poor display certainly doesn’t warrant more than the point they took.

Here are our player ratings for Lazio, who confirmed their hardships by firing blanks against Lecce on Alessio Romagnoli’s last hurrah.

Lazio XI (4-3-3)

Ivan Provedel – 6.5

While it wasn’t his most difficult clean sheet, the Lazio goalkeeper still had to pull off a solid save against Lassana Coulibaly. He was also well-positioned to stop Riccardo Sottil’s free-kick.

Manuel Lazzari – 5.5

The right-back tried to push forward with some daring runs, but he no longer has the pace to take the ball in his stride.

Mario Gila – 6

The Spaniard did well to keep Lameck Banda at bay. He also tried to advance the play, although his risk-taking manoeuvres could have been costly.

Alessio Romagnoli – 6.5

In what was probably his Lazio swansong, the Italian defender didn’t put a foot wrong all match, and even drifted to the right side to accommodate Provstgaard.

Adam Marusic – 5.5

The Montenegrin had a torrid first half, but gradually grew with the game and was eventually able to hold his own against Santiago Pierotti and Sottil.

Toma Basic – 5.5

The Croatian wasn’t at his sharpest form after returning from injury, and had to play slightly out of position, initially on the right side of the attacking trident, and then as a Regista.

Matias Vecino – 5

The Uruguayan veteran made some defensive contributions, but he was outrun by the Lecce midfielders.

Kenneth Taylor – 5.5

The former Ajax man has yet to prove his worth to the cause. Ran hard for the team, but should have taken his shot better late in the match.

Matteo Cancellieri – 4.5

A forgettable outing for the winger, who looked frustrated and uninspired. Saw very little of the ball.

Boulaye Dia – 5

The Senegalese had some woeful touches and squandered a promising chance early in the second half, as he couldn’t beat Wladimiro Falcone in the one-on-one.

Mattia Zaccagni – 6

The Lazio captain was behind his team’s most dangerous chance of the match, but he remains far from his best.

Substitutes

Oliver Provstgaard – 6

The young Dane lunged at an opponent, which earned him a yellow card. But he was solid otherwise.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru – 5.5

The Nigerian added some physicality to the middle of the park, but not much quality.

Petar Ratkov – 5

The new signing hardly touched the ball during his cameo.

Luca Pellegrini – 5.5

The left-back made an important intervention at the back, but he was poor in the attacking phase.

Gustav Isaksen – N/A
