The Greens remain inside the League One relegation zone after a torrid return to the division
Plymouth Argyle's dismal return to League One only worsened on Tuesday night, with the Greens' loyal away support making their feelings clear in a somewhat 'humurous' fashion as their side succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at Mansfield Town.
Argyle were pinpointed as one of several sides expected to mount a bid for at least the play-offs, despite the fact a rather chaotic beginning to the off-season following relegation from the Championship after two seasons concluded with an exodus of high-profile and long-serving players, as well as seeing Tom Cleverley replace Miron Muslic in the Home Park dugout.
Just weeks before, Cleverley's dismissal at the notoriously ruthless Watford still came as a relative surprise, with many believing that the former England and Manchester United midfielder would use his current role in charge of the Devon club as a way to prove those at Vicarage Road wrong.
However, with over a quarter of the third tier season gone, that couldn't be further from the truth, albeit there has been the occasional bright spot which has come to the fore every now and then for a fanbase which has, understandably, grown frustrated since the season began with a 3-1 defeat against Barnsley on August 2nd.
Unsurprisingly, with the current and pending weather and temperatures hardly ideal for supporters who make the long treks from Devon, especially on a Tuesday night, those at Field Mill in midweek showed how much they have turned against the club's current predicament during the second half.

The travelling support, who had ventured from Devon to the East Midlands in midweek, made the journey in hope, rather than expectation, that Cleverley and his side would make an immediate bounce-back from their extremely underwhelming performance in the 2-0 'Devon Derby' defeat to Exeter City last Thursday.
However, in a rearranged fixture due to previous international call-ups, the Green Army saw another defeat by the same scoreline and, yet again, a performance which proved how devoid of confidence and cohesion their new-look squad is.
The 90 minutes were summed up by two instances which went rather viral on social media, with the first of those being a 'comedy of errors' which led to Will Evans opening the scoring after just six minutes for the Stags, with the forward capitalising on mishaps from Brendan Wiredu and Brendon Galloway.
Jordan Bowery then secured the points for Mansfield with six minutes remaining, leaving Plymouth firmly positioned inside the League One relegation zone, having taken just 13 points from the opening 14 games.
Indeed, Argyle's away form in recent weeks and months has been extremely below-par, albeit two of their four league wins this season have come on the road against fellow newly-relegated outfit, Luton Town, as well as a 4-0 success at Burton Albion on September 27th.
In a bid to emphasise their frustrations, Plymouth fans well and truly flipped the tone of a chant to KC and the Sunshine Band's 1975 single, 'That's the Way (I Like It)'.
With supporters of Wrexham and Hibernian initially using it as a platform to showcase how much they enjoy following their side on the road, many other clubs have tweaked the chant.
As much as Argyle's version of "Greens away, uh-huh, uh-huh, we hate it," doesn't follow said trend, it only added to the gallows humour and self-deprecation which is often seen in away ends across the English football pyramid.

Of course, there is no divine right for a side to immediately enjoy success following relegation into the division below.
However, it's fair to say, and understand, that the masses of Argyle supporters, and outsiders, would have expected a far better opening three months of the campaign, with Cleverley completely understanding their viewpoint after the full-time whistle.
"It's their club and we have to acknowledge how far they travel and the amount of money they spend to support us and they're frustrated, there's no holding back," he said.
"We're all hurting, we're all working as much as we possibly can to turn the situation around."
Aside from the individual form of summer recruit, Lorent Tolaj, it is extremely difficult to pinpoint a consistent positive associated with Plymouth at present, which has only added to the scrutiny Cleverley is currently under.
