Police in Türkiye found large sums of cash, gold and jewellery during a search at the home of Galatasaray’s ultrAslan leader, Sebahattin Sirin. According to L'Équipe, officers uncovered close to one million euros at the property.

The haul included 840,000 euros in cash and foreign currency worth 300,000 euros, alongside jewellery and gold.

Sirin was detained on Sunday and accused of reselling tickets on the black market, an issue that prompted Galatasaray’s president to file a complaint in 2024. He also faces allegations of causing public disorder inside sports venues and of publicly spreading false information.

The search reportedly lasted eight hours, during which police also found a pistol, ammunition and bulletproof vests.

In recent days, Sirin used his X account to accuse Justice Minister Akin Gürlek of belonging to a group within the state that wants Fenerbahçe to win.
