Galatasaray twice denied Terzi’s claims, while he maintained his reporting was accurate.

The club accused him of attempting to mislead the public and of misrepresenting their approach to transfer business.

The Bakirkoy chief prosecutor’s office opened a probe into the offence of publicly publishing misleading information. The episode drew dismay in football and media circles.

Musiala, 23, is under contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2030.
