Police recover Yuri Alberto shirt stolen from Corinthians’ Memorial de Conquistas | OneFootball

Police in São Paulo have recovered a shirt of striker Yuri Alberto, a standout in last year’s Copa do Brasil triumph, stolen from Corinthians’ Memorial de Conquistas at Parque São Jorge.

The club said in a statement that officers from the 52nd Police District identified the perpetrator on Friday.

Video footage provided by the board helped authorities pinpoint the suspect, who was questioned by the lead investigator and will face legal proceedings.

The theft occurred at around 14:00 on Thursday when an unidentified supporter entered the exhibition space and removed the commemorative shirt.

The shirt has been returned to the club and will go back on display under the care of its Cultural Department. The club thanked police for their swift work.
