John Mousinho is under increasing pressure at Portsmouth amid their poor run of form.
John Mousinho’s future at Portsmouth is being called into question by supporters following the team’s 3-2 loss to Hull City.
Pompey took an early 1-0 lead through Terry Devlin in the 16th minute, but goals from Enis Destan and Kyle Joseph had the home team 2-1 down when Devlin bagged his second in stoppage time to level the scores at the end of the first half.
However, Joe Gelhardt’s 79th-minute strike ultimately sealed all three points for the Tigers, who got back to winning ways after their defeat to Derby County in midweek.
The loss has left Portsmouth sitting 20th in the Championship table, having failed to win any of their last six league fixtures, losing four and drawing two.
Mousinho has been in charge at Fratton Park since January 2023, and he oversaw their promotion from League One in 2024.

Portsmouth earned a 16th-place finish in the Championship last season in their first campaign back at the level, but have struggled to kick on so far this year.
This latest defeat has seen pressure mount on the 39-year-old Pompey boss, with some supporters now calling for a change in the Fratton Park dugout.
Fans are increasingly concerned about the club’s status in the Championship, with the prospect of a relegation battle on the cards given their current form.
While Mousinho has some credit in the bank with the supporters for his role in their promotion, some are now suggesting that this form can only go on so long before questions are asked.
Some are willing to be patient and give him some time following the November international break, but this could prove his final chance to turn things around.
Meanwhile, the Portsmouth owner, Michael Eisner, has received criticism for his lack of investment in the first-team squad.
And some have joked about the possibility of even bringing Neil Warnock in to steady the ship.
Portsmouth are 20th in the Championship table after 15 games played, with their next fixture coming on 22 November in a home clash against Millwall.

Mousinho has some significant credit in the bank at Portsmouth for his role in re-establishing the club as a Championship side.
But another run of poor results after the international break will surely make it tough for him to remain in charge.
Supporters are already starting to get frustrated with the team’s performances, which haven’t been good enough so far this season.
Staying in the Championship will be massively important for Eisner, so if that is in doubt, then he will have no hesitations about making a change in the dugout.
