Daily Mail reports that Portsmouth will play Chelsea in a behind closed doors friendly tomorrow, a warm up for next Sunday’s south coast derby.

Both sides will have gone over three weeks without a competitive fixture when they meet next weekend due to the international break.

Saints played Premier League side Aston Villa at Bodymoor Heath in a friendly last week, reportedly losing 1-0.

The derby is scheduled to kick off at midday on Sunday, October 11 at St Mary’s.

Both fixtures last season ended in draws, with the home match a forgettable goalless stalemate.
