After full-time in Serbia, Vincenzo Italiano gave his post-match press conference: “I saw a lot of good things today. We played well, with care and intelligence. It’s been a great competition so far. Our aim was to make it out of the league phase by playing as a team. Now, we’ll wait for tomorrow’s draw. The boys were alert, focused, and hungry to put in the performance. They played well in every area of the pitch.”

Following the victory over Maccabi, Riccardo Orsolini said, “I’m pleased. We needed a good performance and a win, and we got that. Qualifying for the top eight depended on results elsewhere, not this one. In any case, we can be proud. Now, we’re going to go into the play-offs full of confidence and commitment. Goalscorer? No, I just want to help the team to reach our goals. The hugs in the dugout were a way to show my support at a crucial time.”

Nadir Zortea commented, “We could’ve been more clinical, but we need to be pleased. We played well today and scored a few goals; that’s the main thing. I don’t know when I’ll reach the peak of my career. For me, it’s just nice to improve even more, game by game.”

“Given recent results, we need a win like this,” said Federico Bernardeschi, “as a team, full of spirit, and no goals conceded. The stadium was empty, but that meant we could hear the instructions from the coach even better. We need to build on this game in order to get out of this rut; it has to be the turning point.”

Here’s what Nicolò Casale had to say after the win in Backa Topola: “We were in the top eight for a few minutes, but that’s fine. I’m pleased with the game. It wasn’t a given that we’sdd win, and we needed it after a tough period, at the back too. We gave our all in all eight games. We’ve finished tenth, and we’ll see who we get drawn against tomorrow. It’s a win that I hope will give us a much-needed lift.”

Jonathan Rowe’s post-match reaction: “Firstly, I want to thank the fans who came to support us tonight. Their support is so important to us. We played really well. We regret not winning against Celtic at home, because we would’ve finished in the top eight otherwise. I’m pleased with my goal. I played on the left tonight, but I don’t mind either way; I’m here to help the gaffer. As long as I am on the pitch, I want to help the team and be a problem for the opposition. This win is important for us. I’m sure that it will give us a lift in the league too.”

Captain Lewis Ferguson said, “It’s a good win, which will give us confidence and help us to rediscover our form in the league. We played really well, scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet. It’s a shame that I didn’t score, but it’s important for me to be getting into the right areas. This win will help us in the league, too. AC Milan come to the Dall’ara on Tuesday. We haven’t won at home in a while, and we want to play well and take all three points.”

Finally, a word from Tommaso Pobega: “We had a clear idea about how to go about it tonight. We’ve come through a rough patch, and now the aim is to be at our best in every game and be more clinical. With quality, we play well and get results. In the league phase, we showed we can play at a consistently high level. Now, we’ll see who we get in the play-offs. It will definitely be a good team, so we will try to do our best and make it to the next round. Before that, we play against AC Milan in the league on Tuesday. Like every game, we’ll need to prepare well in order to play to our strengths and limit their quality.”
