Postecoglou wins RSL Manager award as Bono and Neves honoured in August | OneFootball

Ange Postecoglou has begun life in the Roshn Saudi League by claiming August’s Manager of the Month, with Yassine Bono and Ruben Neves also recognised. According to spl.com.sa, Al Kholood’s Hamed Al Shanqiti took Young Player of the Month.

Appointed this summer, the Al Nassr boss oversaw four wins from four to leave the champions second, level on points with Al Hilal. His side scored 12 and conceded three, highlighted by a stirring Matchweek 3 comeback at Al Ettifaq.

Al Hilal collected two prizes as Bono was named Goalkeeper of the Month and Neves took Player of the Month. They also boast a perfect record, with a league-high 15 goals and only three conceded after four matchweeks.

Neves has been central to that start, scoring twice and supplying two assists as last season’s runners-up set the early pace.

Al Shanqiti’s accolade followed an eye-catching top-flight debut in Matchweek 1, when he saved a penalty to secure a 1-1 draw at Al Ittihad, his parent club. Al Kholood ended the month by beating Al Ahli 3-1 to move fourth.
