Borussia Dortmund face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, kick-off is 20:00 local time.

With six clean sheets in nine Bundesliga games this season, Dortmund’s defence is a force to be reckoned with but they face a difficult task to keep Erling Haaland quiet. The Norwegian has scored 17 goals in 13 games across all competitions this season.

Niko Kovač did receive a welcomed boost with the return of Nico Schlotterbeck, who should start in a back three after overcoming a bout of flu. Dortmund’s defensive stalwart should start alongside Waldemar Anton and Ramy Bensebaini, with Niklas Süle absent with a toe injury.

BVB will also have to do without Julian Brandt (Muscular), who has been somewhat of a surprise package this season with six goal contributions in 13 appearances across all competitions. As such, Karim Adeyemi, Maximilian Beier and Serhou Guirassy should form the attacking trio for the visitors.
