Eintracht Frankfurt receive a major boost ahead of their Europa League tie against Beşiktaş on Thursday night with the return of Hugo Ekitike. The French attacker has four goal contributions (four goals, four assists) in six games since making his move to the Hessen club permanent. It’s unclear as to whether the 22-year-old will start after missing the game against Holstein Kiel at the weekend, but he featured in the team’s final training session and has travelled to Turkey.
One player that Dino Toppmöller will be without is Tuta. The Brazilian defender, who played in midfield against Holstein Kiel, is staying at home with the birth of his first child imminent. That means Ellyes Skhiri could come in for the 25-year-old, who is in excellent form.
Omar Marmoush will be the player to watch here. The 25-year-old is in phenomenal form this season with six goals and five assists in seven games across all competitions for Eintracht. Die Adler are a far better side with the Egyptian in it, and he’s struck up an excellent partnership with Ekitike. But Igor Matanović, who deputised for Ekitike, scored his ever Bundesliga goal at the weekend and remains an excellent option.
