Thanks to Mohamed Salah, Liverpool claimed victory this Sunday on Burnley's turf.

On Sunday, Liverpool aimed to continue their flawless start to the season in the Premier League and travelled to the promoted side Burnley to do so. Seventeenth in the table, the Clarets had shown some promising signs and were looking to build on them. The match, however, proved anything but easy for Liverpool, especially after Alexis Mac Allister was forced off at halftime due to injury.

Late in the game, Lesley Ugochukwu was sent off after receiving a second yellow card (85th minute). As Liverpool kept pressing, Hannibal Mejbri was penalized for a handball in his own box. Mohamed Salah stepped up and coolly converted the penalty in the 95th minute (90+5). Liverpool secured a 1-0 win and maintained at least a three-point cushion over their closest rivals.
