The action begins with two ambitious clubs meeting in North Wales on Friday night, before attention turns to some fascinating early-season tests across Europe.Chelsea and Brighton put perfect Premier League starts on the line, two Champions League sides collide in Serie A, while Arsenal face a potentially awkward trip to Aston Villa.

Wrexham vs Birmingham City

Two boldly ambitious Championship clubs collide at The Racecourse Ground on Friday night asWrexham host Birmingham City. With A-list celebrities in either boardroom, both sides have a spotlight shone on them but fell short of promotion last season.

Chelsea's new-look frontline of Morgan Rogers, Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer all scored at Fulham, while Brighton showed their own firepower with a 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa to lead the standings.

Napoli vs Como

Napoli and Como clash in Serie A this weekend, as two of Italy's Champions League representatives square off.

Max Allegri's reign at Napoli began with a 2-0 win at Genoa, with Kevin De Bruyne on target. Como, somewhat remarkably, started the season as second-favourites for the Scudetto but lost early ground after a draw with Udinese. Can Cesc Fabregas' side balance a maiden Champions League campaign with a title charge?

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Things can change all too quickly in football. Just three months ago, Aston Villa were celebrating Europa League success and theend of a 30-year trophy drought. Unai Emery's exciting team had conquered Europe, while securing a top-four finish in the Premier League to upset the elite.

Fast forward to August, and the spine of their side has been stripped, with questions again being asked about the Premier League's financial rules. One of those exits,Ezri Konsa, could debut for new side Arsenal as the champions arrive in town.

Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona were Spain's standout team last season but the champions found Rayo Vallecano awkward opposition. The Catalans were held in the first meeting, before needing a Ronald Araujo goal to squeeze past Rayo in the return.

The teams meet again on Monday night, with uncertainty around Barcelona in attack. Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres have both gone, with no number nine signed to date.
