Premier League spend hits 3.051bn euros after Bouaddi to Manchester City | OneFootball

With six days remaining in the window, Premier League clubs have already spent 3.051 billion euros. According to L'Équipe, Manchester City's 100 million euro move for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi pushed the total beyond 3 billion.

Last season's record of 3.55 billion euros may still be within reach, although some deals are already set to be booked in the 2027-28 accounts. One example is the announced move of Omar Marmoush between Manchester City and Tottenham, a loan with a 58 million euro obligation to buy plus around 12 million euros in add-ons.

Deals worth 50 million euros or more are also tracking another high, 20 last season and 18 so far this summer. Those sums are concentrated in fewer than half of the clubs, nine in total, with Chelsea and Tottenham hitting that mark four times.

Bouaddi is the fourth 100 million euro signing in the Premier League this summer, joining Morgan Rogers, Aston Villa to Chelsea for 138 million euros, Elliot Anderson, Nottingham Forest to Manchester City for 135 million euros, and Sandro Tonali, Newcastle to Tottenham for 108 million euros. In 2025 only two transfers crossed 100 million euros, Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool for 145 million euros and Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen to Liverpool for 125 million euros.

Rogers and Anderson have become the most expensive English players, surpassing Jude Bellingham's 127 million euro move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid in 2023. They rank fifth and sixth on the all-time list behind Neymar, Barcelona to PSG for 222 million euros, Kylian Mbappé, Monaco to PSG for 180 million euros, Ousmane Dembélé, Dortmund to Barcelona for 148 million euros, and Alexander Isak.
