Bournemouth are facing an uphill battle to keep hold of Antoine Semenyo amid confirmation of his mid-season release clause.
Indeed, David Ornstein has verified that the coveted attacker will be available for a relatively modest fee of £60 million plus £5 million in add-ons when the January window opens.
However, his suitors will only have until a certain stage of the window to activate the clause in order to ensure Bournemouth have ample time to sign a replacement.

Manchester United held talks with Semenyo back in the summer over a potential switch from the Vitality Stadium to Old Trafford, with Manchester Evening News claiming a meeting was held between the player and Ruben Amorim to establish a more personal connection.
As well as United, Tottenham Hotspur were also sizing up a move, until neither club’s proposals were enough to convince Semenyo to depart the Cherries, and he subsequently put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
The likelihood of the 25-year-old seeing out his 2030 contract now looks incredibly slim, though, as he is attracting growing interest with every stellar performance in the top flight.

In his first 11 appearances of the term, he’s returned a hugely impressive six goals and three assists. Assuming he continues such prolific form, Semenyo will smash his 2024/2025 record of 11 goals and six assists in total.
Given his exact price tag has been revealed, United could well look to revive their pursuit in two months’ time – especially considering Amorim is poised to be without Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo when AFCON begins, whereas Semenyo’s Ghana did not qualify for the tournament this time around.
