Premier League clubs have already spent more than £2.1 billion this summer, with just over a week until deadline day. Sunderland have added defenders Thomas Meunier and Dayann Methalie as they prepare for their first Europa League campaign.

According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland are in talks with Royal Antwerp over young midfielder Jules Ahoka, a prospective third signing that is believed to be moving closer.

Headline deals include Arsenal landing Bruno Guimarães for £75m and Ezri Konsa for £51m. Chelsea have signed Morgan Rogers for £117m and Marco Palestra for £47m. Tottenham have brought in Jan Paul van Hecke for £52m and Mateus Fernandes for £85m.

Newcastle have sold Sandro Tonali to Tottenham for £100m and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £60.5m, while Kieran Trippier has joined Wolves on a free. Liverpool have seen Mohamed Salah depart to Trabzonspor and Andrew Robertson move to Tottenham, both on free transfers.

Manchester City have brought in Elliot Anderson for £116m, and Leeds have signed goalkeeper James Trafford for £40m. Ipswich have added Issa Diop for a reported £8.5m. Sunderland have also parted with a number of players across permanent and loan exits.

With business still active across the division, the overall spend is expected to rise before the window closes next week.
