Liverpool in control of the title race
Liverpool remain top of the Premier League table heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
The Reds left it late to beat Brentford last weekend just before Arsenal dropped two points in a draw with Aston Villa, meaning Arne Slot’s side sit six points clear of the Gunners and Nottingham Forest while still boasting a game in hand.
Liverpool entertain Ipswich at 3pm on Saturday and are strongly expected to win again. Arsenal, meanwhile, travel to relegation-threatened Wolves. Forest make the journey down to the impressive Bournemouth.
Later on Saturday, a resurgent Manchester City welcome Chelsea in what is set to be the next test of Pep Guardiola’s recent progress.
On Sunday, Tottenham are under huge pressure when they welcome a Leicester side in equally as dire form. Crystal Palace meet Brentford in a London derby before West Ham travel to Aston Villa.
Fulham host Manchester United in the final game of the weekend on Sunday night.
