Arsenal return to Champions League action in a bid to continue an unbeaten run as they welcome Bayern Munich to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s men have not conceded a goal in matches against Athletic Club, Olympiacos, Atlético Madrid and Slavia Prague.

They have an impressive goal difference of 11, identical to that of Bayern.

Arsenal will be beaming with confidence after an impressive 4-1 win over their rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Eberechi Eze became the fourth player to score a hat-trick in a North London Premier League derby.

The win sees them six points clear in the Premier League, echoing their status in the league phase of the Champions League.

They enter the match without Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz who are out due to injuries. Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz are also doubtful to feature.

Arsenal last beat Bayern Munich 2-0 back in 2015 and have faced them 14 times in the Champions League, becoming the most they have ever faced a side in the competition.

Meanwhile visitors Bayern Munich are also unbeaten across their four games in the Champions League.

The German champions have won against Chelsea, Pafos, Club Brugge and Paris Saint-Germain and sit top of the league phase. They’re also unbeaten in the Bundesliga.

Vincent Kompany’s men managed to overcome PSG in the last round 2-1 despite having Luis Díaz sent off with a red card.

In the Bundesliga they recently managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Freiburg 6-2, and before that drew 2-2 against Union Berlin.

Bayern Munich have scored two or more goals in 15 of their last 17 Champions League matches and have only lost one of their last 12 away matches in the competition.

England talisman Harry Kane has been involved in 12 of those goals in his last seven Champions League appearances against English opposition.

Bayern Munich travel to the Emirates with an impressive record against the Gunners, having gone five matches unbeaten against them.

The last time the sides met in the Champions League was in the 2023/2024 quarter-final in which Bayern beat Arsenal 3-2 on aggregate.

Kompany will be without Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Alponso Davies due to injuries. They will also be without Díaz he picked up a three-match ban following a red card.

The match will be live on TNT Sports and will kick off at 20:00 GMT.
