Arsenal return to Champions League action as they welcome Atlético Madrid to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are aiming for their 100th win in the tournament and could reach that milestone with victory over Diego Simeone’s side.
Mikel Arteta’s men are in excellent form in both the Premier League and Champions League, remaining unbeaten in the competition so far. The home side recorded 2-0 wins over both Bilbao and Olympiacos before the international break and will be looking to make it three wins from three.
They are one of six teams currently on six points from their opening two fixtures and sit fifth in the league phase.
Arsenal have also kept four clean sheets in their last five matches and are unbeaten in their last eight in all competitions.
The Gunners head into tomorrow’s match off the back of a 1-0 Premier League victory over Fulham, with Leandro Trossard scoring the only goal at Craven Cottage.
Arsenal will be without Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke due to injury.
Meanwhile, the visitors Atlético Madrid arrive at the Emirates on the back of a 1-0 La Liga win over Osasuna. Simeone’s men suffered a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in their opening Champions League fixture but have found more stability since, drawing 1-1 with Celta Vigo before the international break.
The Spanish side have scored in all 11 of their matches this season, winning six, drawing three, and losing two. Away from home, they have two defeats and three draws so far.
The last time these sides met was in April 2018, when a 1-1 draw was followed by a 1-0 Atlético win. That encounter came during the Europa League semi-finals, which Atlético went on to win, lifting the trophy after a 3-0 victory over Marseille thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann and Gabi.
Arsenal came close to European glory in 2006, reaching the Champions League final before losing 2-1 to Barcelona.
Atlético, meanwhile, have reached the final three times – in 1974, 2014, and 2016 – most recently losing 5-3 on penalties to Real Madrid at San Siro.
Atlético will be without winger Nico González following a head injury sustained against Osasuna. Thiago Almada (calf) and midfielder Johnny Cardoso (ankle) are also sidelined, with Cardoso out since August.
The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports in the UK, with a kick-off time of 20:00 [BST].
