Blackburn Rovers host Derby County at Ewood Park this Saturday in matchweek 15 of the EFL Championship, with kick-off at 12:30 live on Sky Sports Football.
Rovers sit 18th in the table with 16 points so far, having beaten Bristol City 1-0 away from home last time out under Valérien Ismaël.
Derby County, currently 11th with 20 points, head into the fixture after a 2-1 victory over Hull City in their most recent outing.
Both sides come into this clash in strong form - Blackburn have taken maximum points from their last three matches, while Derby have strung together four straight wins.
The last meeting between the two teams ended 2-1 in Derby’s favour.
Cory Hancock (The Rams Review Podcast): It has been an incredible two weeks at Derby County. Four wins from four games have pushed the Rams to midtable and for the first time this season they are looking up the table instead of watching below. The international break may be coming at the wrong time for Derby who are playing their best football of the season and have strong momentum going into the game against Blackburn.
Manager John Eustace will be returning to Ewood Park for the first time since leaving Rovers, I'm sure the crowd will have something to say to him.
Carlton Morris scored again in midweek, that's five goals in three games for Derby's number 9. It was great to see Lars-Jorgen Salvesen score the winner against Hull, he's worked hard to come back from injury. Joe Ward has been in good form, the wing-back has either been out of favor or injured during his time in the East Midlands. An injury to Max Johnston has given Ward a chance and he has grabbed it with both hands. He's very dangerous with set pieces, which has been a real asset for Derby so far this season.
Blackburn haven't been great this season however, they still have the quality to hurt teams so Derby will need to be weary. Hopefully Derby can get a positive result and head into the break on a high note. With the Rams looking more solid at the back and scoring goals, they might be tough to beat. Derby to win, 2-0.
