Leicester City will host Bristol City at the King Power Stadium tomorrow night, with both sides looking to recapture winning form.

The Foxes, who won the Premier League title ten years ago this season, currently find themselves at the heart of the Championship relegation battle having dropped into the division in the summer following their top flight relegation. Meanwhile, Bristol City look set to remain in England’s second tier for a 12th consecutive season as they find themselves 10th in the table and seven points outside of the play-off spots.

The reverse fixture took place at Ashton Gate back in December and ended in a 2-2 draw after a thrilling encounter that saw The Robins overturn a 2-0 deficit in the second half and even miss chances to take all three points. These two sides haven’t met much in the past decade due to Leicester’s tenure in the Premier League, but historically it is tomorrow night’s hosts who come out on top having won 29 of the 70 meetings up to this point.

Fans of both sides won’t be holding their breath for a win with the two teams only managing four league wins between them since the start of 2026. Leicester’s last win came on January 5th as they fended off relegation rivals West Brom, whilst Gerhard Struber last tasted victory at Ewood Park on February 24th the his side picked up a 2-1 win, once again coming from behind. His side come into this off the back of a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Coventry City, whilst Leicester’s last outing saw them draw with Ipswich Town.

Ghanian winger Abdul Fatawu has undoubtedly been the shining light for Leicester this season, registering eight goals and seven assists in the league so far which is the best in the squad on both counts. If the Foxes are to drop into League One come the end of this season, he is certainly someone that most Championship sides will be looking at signing in the Summer. There are plenty of other big names in this Leicester squad as well, perhaps most notably Ricardo Pereira who was part of the 2021 FA Cup winning side.

Bristol City fans will likely look towards Scott Twine to be the difference maker tomorrow night, with the midfielder having netted ten goals so far this term as well as assisting six. Despite this, Twine didn’t start in Saturday’s defeat but was instead introduced for the second-half where he forced Carl Rushworth into three important saves. Speaking of saves, Manchester United loanee Radek Vitek will be hoping to keep his 10th clean sheet of the season, but a first since January 24th. It could always be worse though…Leicester’s last clean sheet in the league was in September just six games into the season.

Recently appointed manager Gary Rowett has failed to win any of his first four games in charge of Leicester, but he has managed three draws so far. Thus giving him a points per game record of 0.8, largely similar to Leicester’s overall record for the season having amassed 35 points from 36 games up to this point.

The 71st meeting between the two sides is due to take place on Tuesday March 10th, kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm (UK time.)
