Cardiff City and Stoke City face off this Saturday at the Cardiff City Stadium in the EFL Championship.
The Bluebirds currently have 42 points and lie deep in relegation trouble in 22nd position. In their last game, Omer Riza's team drew 2-2 with Preston North End.
Stoke City, meanwhile, are on the verge of the drop zone in 20th position on 44 points. Last time out, Mark Robins's team shared the spoils with Luton after a 1-1 draw.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a high-scoring 3-3 draw.
Tom Taylor (Sport Addict Corner): Once again Cardiff are going into a game where we're saying it's the biggest game of the season, and I doubt it will be for the last time either this year. The only real positive from the Preston result is that we didn't lose, but the performance was far from good enough and constant draws are starting to catch up with us. We need wins between now and the end of the season, but unfortunately I can't see where they're going to come from. We've only won 3 times in the league since January, and I'm not sure how that's going to turn around.
Stoke are in a somewhat similar boat to us, and with it being so tight in the relegation battle they'll know that a positive result would be massive and put breathing room between the two of us. The thing I'm most concerned about at the moment is our defence, we started a back 5 against Preston but they managed to split the defence with every long ball. The constant player changes and rotation is starting to rear its ugly head slightly, as there's no real cohesion in many areas of the pitch.
I don't think we lose on Saturday, but I can't see us winning either. I'm just not confident at all in our ability to get a result when it matters most. Last weekend's 0-0 draw against a QPR side that had so many first team players missing is quite telling, and I can see us once again relying on a moment of magic from one of our attackers to salvage something.
