Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic face each other this Tuesday at the Portman Road for matchweek 11 of the EFL Championship.
Ipswich Town have won 13 points to date and are placed in 12th position. In their last encounter, Kieran McKenna's team were beaten 2-1 by Middlesbrough (EFL Championship 2025/26).
Charlton Athletic currently have 15 points and lie in 9th position. In their last match, Nathan Jones's team prevailed 2-1 against Sheffield Wed. (EFL Championship 2025/26).
The last meeting between the two teams ended with Ipswich Town winning 6-0.
Adam Wilkin (Blue Monday): Football is a game of moments. What might have been had George Hirst buried his penalty on Friday night. As it was Town's struggles away from home continued with a 2-1 defeat.
Azor Matusiwa picked up his fifth booking of the season and will be suspended. It seems unlikely Jens Cajuste will be able to play all of the games in this spell so it could be an all new midfield partnership of Jack Taylor and Marcelino Nunez.
Of the subs from Friday it's Nunez and Azon who will have done their cases no harm and i'm hoping that this game is the one to kickstart their Town careers.
A McKenna side is usually very good at bouncing back from a tough defeat, they also usually enjoy as Tuesday night under the lights at Portman Road. The last time Coventry visited they shipped six. I don't think it'll be that bad this time but I think this is the perfect opportunity to bounce back from a disappointing result
