Prized Milan Summer Addition Nearing Return to Action

Milan will soon be able to field one of their most expensive acquisitions, as Ardon Jashari has returned to full training earlier this week after missing months due to a fibula fracture. He had featured in just a couple of friendlies before getting hurt, Mediaset reports.

The Rossoneri spent €36M to sign the midfielder from Club Brugge after a long back and forth. He totaled 4 goals and 6 assists in 52 games with his previous side.

It remains to be seen whether Jashari will be called up for Sunday’s game between Milan and Roma already or if he’ll be given more time to work on his conditioning, but he is almost ready.

The Rossoneri further bolstered their midfield with Adrien Rabiot later in the summer. The starlet will have to fight for minutes once fully ready.

Massimiliano Allegri will once again have a depleted squad heading into the clash with the Giallorossi. The Frenchman and Christian Pulisic are improving from their muscular problems, but it’s a stretch for them to be called up for this one.

In addition, Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori, and Santiago Gimenez are all questionable after getting banged up in the last game. The Portuguese star is dealing with hip soreness, but he should make it. The defender picked up a knee contusion, and the striker turned his ankle.

Our Take on Milan and Jashari

The injury was unfortunate after a frustrating chase, but it also gives them a chance to bring him along slowly, which Massimiliano Allegri surely doesn’t mind. It’ll be interesting to see how he’ll fit when they are in full force. Their midfield was impeccable, if not even dominant, when it starred Luka Modric, Youssouf Fofana and Rabiot.
