Santos were fined R$ 15,000 by the STJD after a prosecution appeal over a fan spitting at Reinaldo. The club also received a R$ 3,000 penalty for a restart delay against Corinthians.
The Tribunal do Pleno revisited the incident from the 1-1 draw with Mirassol at Vila Belmiro on 23 August, ruling unanimously that Santos breached article 213 I of the CBJD. According to Diario Do Peixe, prosecutors argued that while one supporter had been identified, footage showed another spitting as well.
The 4ª Comissão Disciplinar had acquitted Santos on 27 August after the club identified an offender and filed a police report. The appeal overturned that verdict, resulting in a sanction.
Separately, the 7ª Comissão Disciplinar imposed R$ 3,000 under article 206 for a three minute delay to the restart in the 1-0 win at Corinthians at Neo Química Arena on 30 August. The fee is set at R$ 1,000 per minute of effective delay.
Santos have paid R$ 74,000 in fines across Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil fixtures this year. Previous sanctions include R$ 8,000 for objects thrown in a match with Atlético-MG, and cautions for staff including head coach Cuca.
