São Paulo prosecutors Luiz Ambra and André Pascoal said the inquiry into a possible judicial intervention at Corinthians is at an early stage, handled cautiously with no deadline.
According to Meu Timao, they stressed transparency and said supporter mobilisation does not affect the work, adding the office is open to society but cannot share details yet.
Several organised groups, including Gaviões da Fiel, Camisa 12 and Pavilhão 9, gathered outside the Ministério Público de São Paulo to back the work and urge a serious review.
Pascoal said the case was suspended for a time at the Conselho Superior do Ministério Público and is effectively restarting, with evidence now being collected and efforts to progress quickly.
Ambra said it is not yet possible to judge if the material is sufficient to set next steps, so outcomes cannot be anticipated and information cannot be released.
He called the mobilisation a useful barometer of impact and legitimacy, but separate from the analysis of facts and any basis for intervention. Decisions, he said, are only communicated after a formal measure.
Ambra added the case may receive special attention given its importance, though the team must balance it with other files.
Corinthians closed 2025 with a R$ 143.4 million deficit and R$ 2.7 billion debt, and faces three transfer bans, two from FIFA and one from the CBF. The administration is also being examined over payments of R$ 676.6 thousand to Mega Assessoria Operacional for security services, and R$ 586.9 thousand for president Osmar Stabile’s private protection via Bear Security.
