Supporters at the Vélodrome unfurled protest banners before OM’s Coupe de France round of 16 against Rennes on Tuesday, with kick-off at 21:10.

According to L'Équipe, messages appeared in the north end referencing 28/01/2026, the last Champions League night when OM lost 0-3 in Bruges and were eliminated late.

Another banner in the same stand accused the club of lacking stability, ambition and guts, saying everyone was responsible and shaming them.

Fourteen minutes before kick-off, the south end displayed a new message stating that after shame and disgust, the Coupe de France was obligatory.

The display came after a 2-2 draw at Paris FC on Saturday.
