Afonso Moreira struck again as Lyon won 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, climbing onto the Ligue 1 podium. As reported by L'Équipe, PSG's stand-ins failed to convince, with Gonçalo Ramos most criticised. Paris now leave Lens only one point behind.
Endrick opened the scoring on six minutes after Pacho lost him. Safonov tipped over Abner's overhead on 12, before Moreira made it 2-0 on 18 from Endrick's pass.
Bradley Barcola drew a vital block from Ainsley Maitland-Niles on 28, then Lucas Hernandez won a penalty on 31 that Ramos saw saved by Greif. Vitinha went off for Zaïre-Emery on 39 after hurting his right ankle.
Safonov kept Paris in it with saves on 52 and 62. Luis Enrique sent on Lee, Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé on 59, but Endrick still tested Safonov on 61 and Greif denied Kvaratskhelia on 63. Dembélé hit the bar on 75 before Kvaratskhelia scored from range on 90+4.
Moreira was Lyon's livewire down Hakimi's flank, with captain Niakhaté and Mangala prominent. Hakimi struggled on both goals, while Safonov spared PSG heavier punishment. Ramos's 11th Ligue 1 start was overshadowed by his missed penalty, and Paulo Fonseca's plan, with Kluivert left and Merah central, paid off.
