One thing is certain: PSG will have an African champion in its squad in just a few days. It will be either Achraf Hakimi or Ibrahim Mbaye. Luis Enrique is already reacting to this upcoming all-Parisian duel in the AFCON 2025 final.

After defeating Egypt and Nigeria respectively, Senegal and Morocco will face off next Sunday in Rabat for the AFCON 2025 title. Naturally, PSG will be watching closely, as two of its players—Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye—will be on opposite sides. Luis Enrique is delighted to see them reach the final, but he’s also thinking about his own interests.

"I’m proud, truly, because it’s wonderful to see them in a final. But you also hope they come back quickly. That’s important after all the effort they’ve put in these past months. In the end, only one can win, but it’s positive for PSG, for Senegal, and for Morocco," Enrique shared.

The Spanish manager didn’t want to send congratulations just yet: "No, I’m not sending a message. They’re already tired of seeing me here. Let them enjoy this final—one of them will come back frustrated. I wish them all the best."
