Whilst Paris Saint-Germain’s full focus is on Saturday night’s UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan, the club are also working on a deal to sign River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono (17), Fabrizio Romano understands.
PSG are now actively working on their summer transfer window plans after Luís Campos’ future was resolved. The sporting director’s deal had been set to expire, however, earlier this month, he signed a long-term extension to keep him at the Parc des Princes.
Campos is a big fan of the player, leading to PSG joining a host of European clubs in showing an interest in the midfielder. As per Romano, there is also interest from England and from Spain and so Les Parisiens are looking to steal a march on the competition. Discussions with River Plate over the signing of Mastantuono are therefore already underway. Whilst it is not yet a done deal, the Ligue 1 champions are pushing hard to get the green light.
