There was no shortage of interest in Bradley Barcola (23) last summer. As per L’Équipe, Bayern Munich and Liverpool were in the race to sign the Frenchman, whose future at Paris Saint-Germain did, at times, look uncertain.

With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia coming in in January, Barcola’s place as a starter was contested, and there has since been rotation, even if both players continue to feature prominently, both in Ligue 1 and in the UEFA Champions League.

In any case, PSG intend on keeping Barcola, despite interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. As per a report from L’Équipe, in order to deter those suitors, PSG have opened contract extension talks. The former Olympique Lyonnais’ current deal expires in the summer of 2028.

The extension would see him become one of the top eight earners at the European champions, however, L’Équipe understands that, whilst those talks were initiated several months ago, they are stalling.
