PSG face Flamengo this Wednesday at Doha’s Al-Rayyan stadium for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final. The Champions League winners have the opportunity to win a sixth different trophy this calendar year against Filipe Luis’ Brazilian team, who defeated Egypt’s Pyramids FC last week in the playoff round.

PSG could become the first French team to win the Intercontinental Cup, given Marseille were barred from taking part despite their 1993 Champions League title. Luis Enrique is therefore determined to further cement PSG’s place in French football history in choosing the strongest possible line-up.

L’Equipe understands that France international goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier is expected to return between the sticks. In the absence of AFCON-bound Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaïre-Emery will continue his interim on the right channel. The outlet adds that Désiré Doué will make his first start since October as a false nine, given that “The Best” winner Ousmane Dembélé have fallen ill lately.
