Paris Saint-Germain are invoking LFP rules on exceptional circumstances to argue the Rennes return should be staged at the Parc des Princes, after the opening-day meeting was switched to Roazhon Park.

According to L'Équipe, the club want the second fixture on 6 March 2027 to be played in Paris.

Rennes beat PSG 3-1 at Roazhon Park on 13 February last season.

The switch has drawn debate on two fronts, the very short time given to supporters of both clubs to alter travel plans in mid-summer, and uncertainty over the venue for March's return.

Matchday one will now be played in Rennes at 20:45 on Sunday.
