PSG reach €35m agreement with Parma for Zion Suzuki

According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins, Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Parma for the goalkeeper Zion Suzuki (23). PSG are expected to pay around €35m to sign the Japanese international, who will sign a five-year contract.

His arrival casts some aspersions on the future of Lucas Chevalier (24) in France’s capital city. The France international joined PSG from Lille OSC last summer to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, but poor form meant that he eventually lost the starting spot to Matvey Safonov, as well as his place in the France national team as the third-choice keeper.

The good news for Chevalier is that Suzuki is not expected to play a part in PSG’s squad in the upcoming season, with Les Parisiens aiming to loan him out. Juventus are reported to be one of the landing spots for Suzuki, although Hawkins writes they’re not the only possibility.
