Paris Saint-Germain beat Fontenay-le-Comte 4-0 in Nantes on Saturday to register their 50th win of 2025 in official matches.
The Coupe de France last 64 victory eliminated the N3 side. According to L'Équipe, it marked a symbolic calendar-year milestone for the club.
Head coach Luis Enrique, who is not usually prone to hyperbole, described the 2025 campaign as historic on the night.
Paris ended the year on 178 goals in all competitions, a hefty tally shaped by a heavy fixture load, but two short of Barcelona’s 2015 record of 180.
Barcelona were coached by Luis Enrique in 2015. PSG have also not been knocked out by a lower-division team since the start of the QSI era in 2011.
