Paris Saint-Germain, the double European champions, resume training in Poissy on Monday morning with many senior players missing because of the World Cup, according to L'Équipe.

As with most elite clubs, their core of internationals has been stretched by summer duty. The restart in Poissy (Yvelines) goes ahead without a large slice of the first-team spine.

After a very intense 2025 close season, the club set out a summer framework. World Cup players were granted four weeks of leave from the date their national team were eliminated.

The only exception covers those who stayed until the end of the competition, who will have three weeks off, the minimum imposed by the players’ union.

That applies to Spain’s world champion Fabian Ruiz and the France contingent, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Lucas Hernandez and new signing Lucas Digne.
