The already tense relationship between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain has taken yet another dramatic turn, as the French champions issued their harshest public attack on the player.

After a key hearing at the Paris Labour Court, PSG released a late-night statement that made clear just how fractured the relationship has become, signalling that the legal battle between both parties is far from over.

The statement was unusually direct for a club of PSG’s stature.

Before quoting it, the context is essential to note that both sides have been locked in a bitter dispute for months, trading accusations and preparing extensive legal documentation.

PSG chose this moment to publicly question Mbappe’s conduct since leaving the club.

“Mbappe has continually attacked the club at every opportunity, including through the proceedings initiated today, a regrettable situation both for the player himself and for French football as a whole.”

This latest escalation is part of a legal fight with staggering financial implications.

What’s the story?

As reported before, Mbappe is seeking around €240 million in damages, while PSG are demanding €440 million. The club insists it has submitted documentation that supports its position.

As they put it, “We have presented evidence showing that the player acted unfairly.

“His decision not to extend his contract deprived the club of any possibility of organising a transfer.”

Addressing alleged harassment

PSG also took the opportunity to strongly reject certain allegations that emerged during the dispute.

Offering complete denial of wrongdoing, the club stated that they refuted any claims of mistreatment towards the forward.

The statement reads, “Allegations of harassment or pressure” were never part of their dealings with the French star.

They reminded that Mbappe remained central to the team during the previous season, stressing that he only missed matches due to physical issues.

Despite ongoing negotiations and multiple procedural exchanges, the conflict has only grown more hostile.

What began as a contract dispute has now spiralled into a full-scale legal war, with both sides entrenched and unwilling to concede ground.
