PSG and Chelsea face each other in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening.
PSG head into the match with inconsistent recent results. They suffered a 3-1 defeat to Monaco in Ligue 1 in their latest outing and have failed to win three of their previous six games in all competitions.
During that period, they have scored 11 goals while conceding 10 — an uncommon return for a club that has dominated French football for much of the past decade.
Joao Neves remains a major doubt after missing recent training sessions due to an ankle issue, while Quentin Ndjantou is ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Fabian Ruiz will also miss the match, leaving greater responsibility on midfielders Vitinha and Warren Zaïre-Emery to control proceedings in the centre of the pitch.
Ousmane Dembele has recently recovered from a calf injury and is expected to be available, although he may not yet be at full fitness after limited recent playing time.
At the back, captain Marquinhos is likely to return to the starting lineup alongside Willian Pacho after being an unused substitute in PSG’s last two matches. Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes are expected to operate as attacking full-backs, providing width going forward.
Possible PSG starting XI: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Dro, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery; Doue, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia.
The match will kick off at 8pm BST on Wednesday, 11th March.
