The French champions sit second in the table, a point behind surprise leaders Lens, ahead of tonight’s clash. Luis Enrique will demand a response from his side after a Champions League defeat at Sporting Lisbon in midweek.
PSG remain in the top eight of the Champions League but have work to do if they’re to defend their Ligue 1 and European titles this season.
Auxerre, in contrast, are fighting for survival in France. The hosts are 17th in the table and two points from safety. An upset win would lift Auxerre out of the relegation places.
Luis Enrique remains without some key options, including midfielder Joao Neves. The Portugal international has been ruled out with an unspecified injury, while Fabian Ruiz is also doubtful after picking up an issue against Sporting Lisbon in midweek.
The absences of both players could leave PSG light in midfield, particularly if Warren Zaire-Emery is asked to deputise at right-back, with Achraf Hakimi’s availability unconfirmed after playing in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final.
Elsewhere, Lee Kang-in has returned to training but goalkeeper Matvey Safonov is also ruled out.
PSG predicted XI: Chevalier; Hakimi, Zabarnyi, Beraldo, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Mayulu; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.
The Ligue 1 fixture takes place at The Stade Abbé-Deschamps onFriday, 23 January 2026. Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
