Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (25) has been officially named as the new captain of the Georgia international team. The 25-year-old has been confirmed as the new leader of his nation after long-term captain Guram Kashia (38) announced his retirement from international football.

Kvaratskhelia is no stranger to the limelight whilst representing his country. The former Napoli forward has already made 47 appearances for his country, scoring 20 goals despite only being 25-years-old. He has also represented his nation at the first major tournament as Georgia reached the knockout stages of the UEFA EURO 2024.
