Ousmane Dembélé was withdrawn after 27 minutes of Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League play-off at AS Monaco with an injury, leaving his involvement in next Wednesday’s return leg in doubt.

According to L’Équipe, the forward says he is feeling much better, but he and staff are awaiting test results. He is not expected to face FC Metz on Saturday and is unlikely to play the Monaco return leg.

Dembélé had been a pre-match doubt with a minor calf problem but declared himself ready to start on Tuesday night. He repeatedly glanced towards the bench before being replaced.

Head coach Luis Enrique offered little post-match detail on the issue. Within PSG there is hope the injury is not serious.

PSG hold a 3-2 lead in the tie.
