Dutch giant PSV have confirmed its growing hegemonic power in the Eredivisie, confirming a third consecutive league title this weekend.

A show-stopping 4-3 win at Philips Stadion on Saturday against an in-form Utrecht side was enough for Peter Bosz's side to keep the pressure on rival Feyenoord and boss Robin van Persie.
Needing a win away from home against struggling Volendam, De club aan de Maas were unable to follow suit en route to a disappointing 0-0 draw, gifting PSV their 27th Eredivisie title across their storied history.
With that, Boeren banked the earliest title win in Eredivisie history, beating their own record set back in 1978 by three days.
With PSV as the current undisputed power in the Netherlands over the last three seasons, pushing to narrow the gap to record league winner and bitter rival Ajax (36) is all the motivation they need.
