Speaking via Calciomercato, Costacurta explained why he believes those players deserve recognition for their contributions.

“I’d like to highlight the performances of some players who are becoming important, because the positive matches continue to increase. I think Nico Gonzalez and the return of McKennie are two important assets. Alajbegovic is becoming very good, and I want to highlight that: because while I feel this boy is undervalued, I instead say he has a great future .”
