Pundit says Juventus cannot make top four playing like this | OneFootball

After their late loss to Sassuolo last night, it is becoming increasingly difficult to see Juventus finishing inside the top four at the end of this season, according to pundit Roberto Pavanello.

The Bianconeri have been one of the top teams in the world for several decades and have done well to maintain that status, but since they last won the league title in 2020, they have been far from achieving that feat again.

One thing Juventus have consistently managed to do is secure Champions League football, but last season they failed to achieve that. Many believed their failure was linked to the quality of their squad and the fact that Luciano Spalletti did not start the season as their manager.

He has now been given a new deal for another season and was their coach during pre-season, yet Juventus cannot beat Sassuolo in their fourth league game of the season.

Juventus Face Another Difficult Campaign

It is certainly too early for the team to be struggling as much as it is at the moment, but their poor start has already created doubts about what they can achieve this season.

The Bianconeri were expected to improve after the changes made around the team, but their inability to overcome Sassuolo has only increased concerns. They need to start collecting points consistently if they are to challenge for a place among the leading teams.

Their current performances make it difficult to see where a significant improvement will come from, particularly if the team continues to struggle against opponents it should be capable of beating.

Pavanello Delivers His Verdict

Pavanello believes Juventus are unlikely to finish in the Champions League places this season and has offered a particularly pessimistic assessment of their chances.

Pavanello said via Tuttojuve:

“This Juve has no chance of reaching fourth place at the end of the season. Last season I was pessimistic; this one I’m confident.”

The assessment highlights just how much concern has already developed around Juventus. Although there is plenty of time remaining in the campaign, the Bianconeri must improve quickly if they are to prove this prediction wrong.

For now, their defeat to Sassuolo has left them facing difficult questions, with their Champions League ambitions already looking increasingly uncertain.
