The 32-year-old goalkeeper made 17 Championship appearances for QPR this season, maintaining just three clean sheets.

Julien Stephan's men struggled for consistency in the second tier this term and finished 15th following a six-game winless run at the end of the campaign.

The West Londoners conceded a whopping 73 league goals this season, more than any of their Championship rivals except Sheffield Wednesday, who finished bottom of the league.

Nardi's last R's appearance didn't go to plan, as he conceded three goals in a defeat to Derby County on 25 April, which marked his first outing since a 2-1 loss to Norwich City on New Year's Day.

Meanwhile, Nardi is set to leave QPR alongside fellow goalkeeper Ben Hamer and midfielder Isaac Hayden, with the trio's contracts expiring this summer.

Hamer was handed seven Championship appearances this term, and kept two clean sheets in the process, while he hasn't featured since a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in early January.

According to French outlet FootMercato, Nardi has attracted interest from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse, who are considering a free transfer swoop for his services.

The report adds that the 32-year-old has also been eyed by Troyes, who have won promotion back to the French top flight, having finished top of Ligue 2.

Nardi previously played in France for Nancy, Monaco, Rennes, and Lorient before making the switch to Belgian outfit Gent in 2022, where he spent two years.

The former France Under-21 international joined QPR in the summer of 2024 and made 63 appearances for the West London club, with 45 of those arriving during ex-manager Marti Cifuentes' tenure.

Julien Stephan's long-term QPR future may hinge on goalkeeper transfer call

The Loftus Road club have endured an underwhelming Championship season, as shown by their 15th-place finish and the fact that they lost their last four league games, including home defeats against Derby and Swansea City.

Meanwhile, their defensive errors were partly down to Stephan's decision to rotate between goalkeepers Joe Walsh, Nardi, and Hamer.

Walsh made more appearances than his goalkeeping colleagues this term, making 23 second-tier outings, but there is no doubt that Stephan's failure to settle on one first-choice contributed to the fact that his side conceded 73 goals.

The 45-year-old, who is approaching his second season as a manager in the English game, must recruit at least one new keeper this summer, following the exits of Nardi and Hamer.

Stephan showed some promising signs this term, with QPR enjoying strong results such as a 6-1 triumph over Portsmouth in March.

However, the West London club's board and supporters could soon turn on the Frenchman if he is unable to improve his side's defensive woes next term.

Therefore, Stephan has to acquire a goalkeeper who is capable of performing better than Nardi, Hamer, and Walsh have in the Championship this season.

The R's should also look to sign new defenders and defensive midfielders this summer to help rectify their problems.
