QPR attacker Ilias Chair is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in the defeat to Middlesbrough.

Chair was forced off after just 14 minutes of the 1-0 loss at Loftus Road, having gone down with an injury before being replaced by Koki Saito.

Rangers boss Julien Stephan initially said the 28-year-old would need to be assessed before the extent of the problem became clear, but has now confirmed Chair will remain out until at least October, when his condition will be reviewed again.

It is a frustrating setback for the Morocco international after an encouraging start to the new Championship campaign.

Chair has scored twice and registered one assist in five league appearances so far this season, with both goals and his assist coming in the 3-1 victory over Portsmouth.
