Queens Park Rangers beat Leicester City 4-1 at Loftus Road to climb from ninth to seventh in the Championship, as the visitors fell from eighth to 13th.

In the second minute Koki Saito glanced a header into the top of the net from Rumarn Burrell's cross to set the tone. Richard Kone doubled the lead after a set piece (29.), before Karamoko Dembele slotted a third from the centre of the box (33.).

On the stroke of the interval Amadou Mbengue rifled in from a tight angle in the third minute of first half stoppage time after Jimmy Dunne's pass.

After the restart Ben Hamer preserved the advantage, saving Ricardo Pereira's header from close range (54.).

A handball by Sam Field brought a penalty (81.). Bobby Decordova-Reid struck the left post from the spot (82.), and moments later Silko Thomas pulled one back with a low finish (82.).

QPR were clinical, registering six shots on target from 12 attempts. The Foxes managed two efforts on target from nine attempts.
