West Bromwich Albion have sold 20-year-old midfielder Souleyman Mandey to Austrian side Grazer AK after he rejected a new contract.

The club said in a statement: "Everyone at the football club would like to wish Souleyman the very best of luck in his future career."

Mandey returns to his homeland in a deal which includes a small fee and what is understood to be a significant sell-on clause.

He joined Albion from Rangers in 2023 and made his senior debut in the 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of last season.

Albion had offered fresh terms but chose to move him on now rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

Mandey follows former youth-team mate Eseosa Sule in departing the Hawthorns. Sule joined St Mirren earlier this summer in a move that also includes a sell-on clause.
